Job Description
Administrative position that has comprehensive knowledge of TSTC’s programs (Dual Credit, Non-Credit, For Credit): product line, core business planning, goal setting, capacity, and vitality, as it relates to the TSTC’s

mission, purposes and objectives. Ensures the alignments of programs, goals, location vitality, and capacity is developed providing cohesive profitability to the College. This position implements continuous improvement initiatives, measures/monitors and executes the metrics in product management through capacity and vitality.
Position will be responsible for operations and administration, to include planning, execution and outreach for all activities involving the Central Texas Industrial Technology Center.

Essential Functions

  • Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values ​​of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.

  • Coordinate activities between campus Provost office and Industrial Training Center working group.

  • Assists Facilities and Finance departments with ITC planning and construction activities.

  • Lead working group committees for Community Outreach and Program Operations

  • Oversee and coordinate outreach efforts to various stakeholders; to include, but not limited to:

    • Build a job network to include incumbent and new talent, commitments to hire and fundraising.

    • Build citizen pipeline; partnerships with community organizations and local ISD’s.

    • Develop regional marketing and communication plans.

  • Oversee Industrial Training Center Operations

  • Responsible for developing relationships with department heads and program leadership and internal support departments.

  • Maintain the needs, requirements and quality of TSTC’s Student Learning through goal setting.

  • Maintain proper staffing (both Faculty and Staff positions) to support successful campus and online Student Learning operations in support of the TSTC Mission and Core Values.

  • Evaluates and analyzes operational results to develop alternative solutions to complex challenges. Provides strategic direction for efficient and compliant operations.

  • Implements broad guidelines and procedures to evaluate the capacity and quality of programs and courses, including location vitality of TSTC statewide.

  • Integrates institutional research into planning and evaluation processes, ensuring TSTC’s products and services are capable of driving sustainable growth.

  • Develops strategies to support broad functional objectives and projects to support both TSTC and Student Learning strategic initiatives.

  • If necessary, may supervise team of direct reports to achieve goals.

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university required; Years of experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Requires evidence of extensive and recent college or university senior level of experience, and demonstrated effective working relationships.
  • The incumbent will have had significant and successful experience in higher education leadership, preferably in two-year postsecondary vocational/technical education.
  • Required knowledge of national, regional and state issues; Knowledge and use of quality management principles, Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Appreciation for and support for teamwork.
  • Ability to articulate and communicate policies, goals, and initiatives in a clear and comprehensive manner.
  • Leadership, supervisory skills and the ability to motivate team members are essential.
