The University of Lincoln’s National Center for Food Manufacturing is a major resource for the UK’s food manufacturing sector, delivering skills, research, and support for innovation in partnership with over 250 leading food businesses. We require a Senior Lecturer in Food Manufacturing to inspire our students and provide technical support for innovation and business improvement to small and large businesses. You must have significant experience of working within a senior position in the UK’s Food Industry and a passion for advancing businesses through innovation and developing the skills of teams and individuals. While experience of teaching is desirable, it is not essential, and the role would suit an industry professional looking for a career change and an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience to benefit others.
A satellite campus of the University of Lincoln, the NCFM is part of the Lincolnshire Institute of Technology (IoT) and has outstanding sector-focused facilities, including a state-of-the-art food factory demonstrating cutting edge food automation.
Our students are mainly apprentices who study part-time, with distance learning supported by block release as the platform for delivery
You will be part of a dynamic team of professionals who are adept at working with businesses.
While teaching is an element of the role, the primary focus of the post is supporting innovation. Working as a member of an innovation focused team, you will advise businesses on technology and new product and process adoption in line with your skills set and lead and support the delivery of research projects and practical trials.
The post is offered on a Teaching and Professional Practice contract.
Please note that this post requires an Enhanced DBS check.
