Job description

We are seeking a talented, highly motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Research Associate with experience in the biological validation of molecular imaging agents to work in the Stasiuk group in the Department of Imaging Chemistry and Biology. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in in vitro cancer biology, in vivo tumor models, PET/MRI imaging, be self-motivated, able to work independently, and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The applicant must have a Ph.D. in cancer biology, molecular imaging, or similar. Applicants with an interest in PET tracer biology, experience with multidisciplinary research, including small animal PET/fluorescence/MRI imaging, are preferred. They should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of scientific publications and presentation at international research meetings.

This project sets out to biologically validate novel PET tracers and multimodal fluorescent/MRI agents targeted for prostate cancer.

The post holder will be responsible for the development and biological validation of a series of PET tracers and MRI contrast agents targeted to prostate cancer. Validate the toxicity, binding affinity and specificity for prostate cancer cells (MTS, FACS). Undertake preclinical imaging in prostate cancer models using PET, MRI and fluorescence imaging and ex vivo histology and fluorescence for biodistribution.
