Research and Scholarly Communications Librarian at University of Chester

Do you have an interest in the research lifecycle? Do you have an understanding of scholarly communications, Open Access and the research environment in UK Higher Education? The University of Chester is looking for an enthusiastic collaborative team player with a passion for research to join the library’s Collections, Content, Discovery & Research team as our new Research and Scholarly Communications Librarian.

This is an exciting time for the research agenda at the University of Chester. Based in library services, you will work in partnership with our Research and Innovation Office building on the strong foundations of existing collaboration to deliver our new Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategy.

You will be a key advocate for Open Access and effective research information management across the institution providing guidance, training and assist in decision making. The Research and Scholarly Communications Librarian will also work in collaboration with the Research and Innovation Office to deliver our first research information management system and ensure our publications repository showcases our research effectively.

Applications are encouraged from candidates with either a background in academic or special libraries or research administration / academic research. There may be the opportunity for hybrid working as part of this role.
