This is a key post in the International Relations Office. Working to an agreed income target, you will be part of the team responsible for all elements of the recruitment and admission of international students to the University of Northampton. You will be responsible for the post-application conversion of international students and will work closely with colleagues to develop a suite of communications and webinars for inquirers and applicants. You will manage the International Office’s social media output by planning, implementing and evaluating our social media content across several platforms. You will recruit, train and manage a team of social media ambassadors and monitor content. Some international travel will be required.

We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our students, but also you as an individual. We understand this may vary between different areas of the university as well as from one person to another. About You

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in preparing and implementing effective marketing plans and be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Good organizational skills are essential, as is an ability to plan and create interesting and engaging social media content and work effectively across multiple projects. Willingness to represent the university and meet stakeholders overseas is required, as are high levels of cultural awareness and sensitivity. We are also looking for the ability to influence others and to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience of working in the higher education environment and of marketing to students is desirable.



  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.


  • Professional marketing qualification.


The International Relations Office sits within the Marketing and International Relations Department. Working to agreed income targets, we are responsible for the recruitment and admission of international students to the University of Northampton, and for the associated marketing for this objective.
