Professor in Economics (Teaching and Research – Two Posts) at University of Leicester

The University of Leicester is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic as a Professor in Economics with first class academic leadership and management skills and an excellent track record in research. You will have an international research reputation and be expected to provide leadership in the area of ​​Economics: developing research collaborations, attracting grant funding, attending and organizing conferences and seminars, enhancing impact activity and the research profile of the School, commensurate with your level of seniority.

You will contribute and take a leading role in the delivery, development and coordination of the School’s undergraduate, postgraduate and distance learning curricula as well as the supervision of postgraduate researchers. You will help drive the School’s impact and engagement agenda and will interact with business, the policymaking sector and/or other relevant stakeholders to help maximize the School’s contribution to societal and economic well-being.

You will be responsible to the Head of Department and Dean of ULSB and will provide leadership within the School whilst undertaking research, scholarship, teaching and administration and other activities supporting the work of the School in line with the School strategy.

You will work as part of a vibrant team alongside colleagues within the University of Leicester Business School (ULSB) and across the University, and will play a key role in the School’s continued success and future ambitions.
