The University is making a significant investment in academic leadership to prepare for predicted growth in existing and new programs, to develop new external partnerships, and to embrace the University’s strategy of expanding Research and Knowledge Exchange. We require a visionary Head of School of Teacher Education with substantial academic leadership experience and the ambition to drive forward the strategic growth agenda and to deliver fundamental KPIs.
Reporting to the Dean of the Institute of Childhood and Education, this post will play a key role in the University’s Academic Leadership Group and represent their School to external and internal stakeholders. The roles will require you to have significant academic or professional experience in an area relevant to Teacher Education. A Professorial title will be offered if successful candidates meet our criteria.
You will have strong leadership skills with a proven understanding and appreciation of the academic area and the educational landscape, and their impact on curriculum, research and knowledge exchange. A proven track record of leading curriculum and portfolio growth and development to provide excellence in learning and teaching and student experience is also essential. Through collaborative working and excellent organizational skills you will develop and lead a team with complex workloads, encouraging leading-edge subject knowledge and an innovative and entrepreneurial approach to all aspects of the student journey.
This role will be located at Leeds Trinity University campus Horsforth, Leeds. Through our agile working framework, there will be the option to spend some time working remotely to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview
