Salary (S4 Grade): £22,149 to £23,715 per annum, plus £2,166 per annum London Weighting
The College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a Student Programs Administrative Assistant to join the Taught Programs Office (TPO), which oversees the undergraduate and postgraduate programs delivered by the Brunel Business School, the Brunel Law School and the Department of Economics and Finance. The students rely on the TPO as their first point of contact in relation to their academic studies.
Working within the TPO team in an open plan office environment, the main duties will involve: Being first point of contact on the front of house reception desk for student enquiries; Dealing with student inquiries in person, over the phone, live chat and by email; Working closely with TPO team to resolve student queries, Assisting TPO with day to day maintenance of our student records, Maintaining and updating electronic communications to students.
The appointed individual will be expected to work under pressure being the first point of contact on a busy reception desk, thereby providing a friendly and professional welcome to the students and visitors. It is imperative that students are given the correct information and advice which sometimes can be very complex inquiries hence the post holder must be confident to reach out to other members of the TPO for their help and support. This is a new role so the appointed individual will be learning ‘on the job’ and will need to be able to use the initiative to help resolve problems. The appointed individual should have experience of working in a team and in a customer service environment.
