About the role
Do you have doctoral qualifications or equivalent experience in an area relevant to forensic science, case work experience in digital investigations?
Do you have experience of working within the crime scene investigation using digital forensics related research informed teaching, especially in areas such as preservation, extraction, interpretation and presentation of the computer-based traces, cyber security (including electronic identification, analysis, and reporting) , data recovery, drone-based surveillance etc.?
Does your research involve general and digital forensic science including digital trace and identity; digital and cybercrime/security web monitoring and investigations and related areas, with knowledge in computer forensic tools (OpenText, Cellebrite or Magnet Product); electronic devices and data system investigation (eg, mobile devices, computers, servers or IoT); preservation of digital traces; Network investigations; and online fraud?
A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Forensic Science in the field of digital forensics to be involved in developing and delivering an innovative and flexible range of learning and teaching materials related to crime scene investigation.
You should have competence in a range of relevant laboratory and practical skills including digital forensic science including digital trace and identity; digital and cybercrime/security web monitoring that are linked to forensic science related research and teaching. As well as knowledge within the subject area of crime scene investigations and understanding the interplay amongst cybercrime and forensic investigations.
