Lecturer in Animal Welfare and Cognition (part time) at The Royal Veterinary College, University of London

We invite applications for a Part Time Lecturer in Animal Cognition and Welfare to join the RVC Animal Welfare Science and Ethics team. The post will be based at our Hawkshead Campus, a 20-minute train ride from the center of cosmopolitan London.

You will work in a friendly, enthusiastic, and inclusive group, playing an essential role in delivery of outstanding, engaging and innovative teaching, research and outreach. The role will require design and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate learning and associated assessment, supervision of student projects and tutoring duties across RVC’s undergraduate courses (primarily Animal biology, behaviour, welfare and Veterinary medicine). The post will involve working at both RVC Hawkshead and Camden campuses. You will be expected to actively engage in high impact research and outreach complementary to RVC’s current research programs.

We seek a dedicated and passionate animal welfare or animal cognition scientist with experience in undergraduate / postgraduate teaching and supervision and a demonstrable record of research in related subjects (animal welfare, animal cognition and/or animal behavior). You will hold excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, and be able to work effectively both collaboratively within diverse teams and independently.
