Newman University is pleased to announce it is sponsoring two new PhD studentships, expected to start in February 2023.
Please note that these studentships are available to home students only.
The studentships will be paid for three years at the level of UKRI studentships (£16,062 per year in 2022/23). The awards will also cover fees associated with registration for a full-time PhD.
All applicants must have either received a ‘Distinction’ grade for their Masters/MRes overall or a merit on their Masters/MRes degree with a distinction-grade classification for the Dissertation element.
Applications are welcome in any area of Newman University’s research supervision, subject to suitable expertise and available capacity. Please consult our website for details here: Research Groups – Newman University, Birmingham.
Recommendation for the studentship award will be at the discretion of the interview panel and subject to successful acceptance for registration by both Newman University and Liverpool Hope University, who are Newman’s research degree awarding partner.
Interested applicants must follow the procedure outlined for inquiries and applications, available via the link here: PhD Inquiries and Applications – Newman University, Birmingham and complete an Expression of Interest form. Please stipulate ‘Studentship’ when asked on the form how your studies are to be funded.
Deadline for submission of an Expression of Interest form is 2400 on Friday 30 September 2022.
Interviews are expected to be held on Wednesday 19 October 2022.
