ServiceNow Development Team Leader at City, University of London

Background

The IT Continuous Improvement team is a recently created team within the Information Technology department, co-locating IT teams with responsibility for service improvement.

Responsibilities

The ServiceNow Team Leader will lead the ServiceNow Development Team and will be responsible for the University’s ServiceNow instance including leading development and operational support.

You will evaluate new development tools and techniques; continuously increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Development Team; enable organizational efficiency by adopting and applying new tools, techniques and functionality, and by increasing automation in the ServiceNow platform.

You will work directly with end users and developers to analyze, design, document and deliver high quality intuitive and easy to maintain solutions that meet agreed business needs.

Person Specification

You will have a thorough understanding of ServiceNow development, operation, and service improvement.

You will have the ability to lead the team with great interpersonal, planning and organizational skills. You will have experience of the ITSM lifecycle and a standard project methodology; have good analytical skills; be confident writing business and technical specifications; and a knowledge of system and process design. You will have a flexible approach to work and solving problems, with a willingness to learn new skills.
