Principal Lecturer at University of Central Lancashire

The Center for Collaborative Learning (CCL) supports the enhancement of the student experience by discovering, capturing, sharing and embedding good practice in Learning and Teaching, in addition to preparing staff for a Learning and Teaching career. A vacancy has arisen for a Principal Lecturer in the team to provide academic leadership across our AdvanceHE Accredited provision and provide support within the wider work of CCL. This is a 0.5 FTE equivalent 12-month fixed term post, secondment from within the University will be considered. The postholder will be part of the CCL Leadership Team and provide academic leadership for our portfolio of courses which prepare staff for teaching and learning roles within the university and the CCL Fellowship Route. The role holder will also lead and evaluate other CCL projects that support and embed best practice in learning and teaching across the university.

The successful applicant will have recent and relevant academic leadership experience and a long-standing track record of providing staff development in HE relating to learning and teaching.

You will need to hold a Doctorate/Higher Degree (or have equivalent professional qualifications and experience), Senior Fellowship of the HEA, full membership of relevant Professional bodies (ie SEDA) and a teaching qualification/or equivalent in HE. The role holder will have demonstrable evidence of strong written and verbal skills, an ability to present information clearly, have strong organizational abilities and be able to work to deadlines. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, with a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work collaboratively with all colleagues in CCL.
