Open Access Advisor at UCL

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 6.

UCL’s Open Access Team delivers green and gold open access services for all UCL academics, including facilitating compliance with funders’ open access policies, and managing open access budgets and transformative agreements. The Open Access Advisors are responsible for the day-to-day running of the key open access service.

Working in a small team, the post holder will advise academics on gold open access and research funders’ policies (including UKRI, Wellcome, CRUK and BHF), implement workflows for publishers’ transformative agreements, organize gold open access payments and contribute to service developments. .

Key requirements for this post include a thorough understanding of open access issues; practical experience of delivering open access services; and experience of organizing team processes and processing financial information electronically. This role may in part be suitable for remote working. The role holder will be expected to work a minimum of 40% of their time on campus. The pattern of on-campus and remote working will be agreed with the role holder.
