Due to the popularity and continuing growth of our life sciences courses, we are looking to recruit a skilled laboratory technician to join our Technical Services team and help deliver high standards of technical support within our modern specialist facilities.

You should have suitable experience as a technician with expertise in life sciences in either higher education or industry and be able to safely and efficiently carry out aseptic work, prepare solutions and reagents, and maintain laboratory equipment, using local operating procedures. With broad knowledge of a range of life sciences techniques, you will provide technical support for practical teaching, research and outreach activities as part of our friendly and skilled team of technicians.

Expertise in biochemistry, immunology, molecular biology and cell culture would be useful. The role requires a strong understanding of laboratory health & safety, teamwork, excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
