Technician (Core Laboratory Support) – Grade 4 at University of Liverpool

The Institute of Systems, Molecular & Integrative Biology serves a wide range of research groups and teaching across several sites on the University central campus. The Institute includes the following:

  • Department of Molecular Physiology and Cell Signalling
  • Department of Biochemistry and Systems Biology
  • School of Life Sciences
  • Department of Molecular and Clinical Cancer Medicine
  • Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics

We are recruiting a grade 4 core laboratory support technician. Your primary role function will be to undertake core technical support activities such as housekeeping, assisting with health and safety, maintaining shared equipment, and training of researchers and students. It is important to note, this is not a 100% direct research support technical role. Occasionally, you may be required to provide research and teaching support across other departments. You must have the knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the biological subject areas (ie Biological sciences, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Molecular Biology) and recent practical experience in a similar field or position.
