Student Inclusion Advisor at Kingston University

The Student Inclusion team at Kingston University is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Student Inclusion Advisor to help deliver key Student Inclusion programs and events. This wide ranging role will be variable and engaging, working with student partners to help challenge inequalities and improve the student experience. The role will work closely with the Student Inclusion Consultant to deliver informed equality, diversity and inclusion advice to staff and students.

This role will be responsible for delivering the university’s annual Cultural Diversity week celebrations and contributing to the central equality, diversity and inclusion campaigns group, working collaboratively to bring innovative ideas to life.

The Person

We are looking to recruit a proactive individual who has experience in running campaigns and events working with a number of stakeholders. You will have a passionate interest in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion matters, ideally with experience working in a Higher Education setting or have relevant experience to succeed in all aspects of the role.

You will enjoy working directly with students, taking a proactive role in their engagement and development. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about improving current programs delivered by the Student Inclusion team with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Directorate/Function

The Student Directorate plays a vital role in the retention and success of students at Kingston University. By taking a holistic, cohesive approach to the effective provision of services to our 17,000 students, we aim to enhance their experience through support that is effective and also responsive to their changing needs.

We cover three main areas of responsibility – Student Life, Student Wellbeing and the First Response and Administration team.

Student Life provides the University’s fundamental student services while Student Wellbeing is responsible for all well-being and safeguarding-related policies. The First Response and Administration Team, meanwhile, ensures the smooth running of all activities.

This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of £35,853 per annum.
