The College is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Workforce Development.

The Assistant Vice President provides direction, strategic leadership, and procedural stewardship for the units within the Division of Workforce Education which includes Allied Health, Business Education, Computer Education, Criminal Justice, Engineering Technology, Nursing, and Organizational Management. In addition to providing leadership within existing programs, the Assistant Vice President leads the College in researching, proposing, developing, and implementing new programs and workforce initiatives.

The Assistant Vice President reports to the College’s Chief Academic Officer. This full-time, 12-month administrative position offices at the Orange Park Campus but has responsibilities that will require travel throughout Clay, Putnam, and St. Johns counties. A Master’s degree is required; Doctorate preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of administrative experience in higher education. Required experience includes working with state and federal agencies; ability to develop and manage departmental budgets; knowledge of grant writing; and proven skills in communication and team building. Additional, preferred experience includes demonstrated success in forming responsive partnerships with business and industry; having a broad understanding of local, state and national issues impacting occupational education; and a demonstrated understanding of the delivery system for workforce and career and technical education instruction. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirements.
