Job Summary

To provide strategic leadership for the university in the development, implementation, and monitoring of extensive EO/AA, Title IX, and ADA compliance programs. To provide effective leadership of the office services and programs that support the University’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. To serve as a consultant to vice-presidents, deans, and senior management in conflict resolution of equity, EO, TIX and discrimination-related matters involving faculty, staff and students.

Minimum Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of equity and equal employment opportunity including all laws and policies governing its application. Demonstrated ability to conduct research; fact-finding, investigative techniques, reasoning and analytical skills, and strategic leadership in advancing future-focused campus initiatives. Demonstrated ability to interpret information, determine its accuracy, and recommend an appropriate course of action. Demonstrated mediation and negotiation skills. Ability to function effectively in a complex organization. Demonstrated analytical abilities; excellent writing and public speaking skills; effective critical thinking and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution capabilities. Demonstrated management and supervisory skills. Demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff, and students in an academic setting. Demonstrated comprehensive senior-level experience in equity, and EO/AA compliance.

Juris Doctor degree.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated comprehensive senior-level experience in a higher education setting.
